Roald Dahl Riso Prints

Create a series of bespoke gifts for The Roald Dahl Story Company to celebrate three milestone projects: the annual seasonal gift, the debut of The Witches at the National Theatre, and The Enormous Crocodile at Leeds Playhouse and Regent's Park Open Air Theatre.

The editions were created for a range of recipients, including cast and crew, partners, stakeholders, long standing collaborators, and acclaimed actors, directors and creatives.

Working closely with Emily Bridge, we developed and pitched a range of creative concepts before refining the final direction.

Together, we created a series of bespoke risograph prints. I created the illustrations, while Emily designed the accompanying packaging.

I also worked with Production to produce and fufil the gifts, with support from my colleague Juli Haas.

Charlie and the Chocolate Factory‍ ‍| Mixed Ages

This print captures the journey to the factory through delicious neon colour combinations, with treats hidden amongst the garden foliage for recipients to discover.

The Witches | Adult Audience

Inspired by vintage anatomical illustrations, I created a highly detailed drawing of Formula 86 to reflect the darker tone of the story.

The Enormous Crocodile‍ ‍| Younger Audience

Using bold graphic shapes and layered foliage, this playful composition shows crafty Croc trying (and failing) to hide his snappy jaws.

The gifts were warmly received, with recipients praising their thoughtful design and craftsmanship. Each edition offered a memorable way to celebrate its recipients while strengthening The Roald Dahl Story Company's connection with its creative community.
